Mokuba had taken to the park after a little stroll and shopping around at Domino Mall. It had been a fairly uneventful day, witnessing only one really decent duel while in the Mall. Without his brother in town, he had no clue what to even do when he wasn't needed at Kaiba Corp. His brother would give him some responsibilities while he was gone, however none of these actually took much time. The meetings if there were any took only a few hours if even that, however Seto would always try to schedule them before his business trips.
The arcade was a bit to crowded for his liking and he already bought a new outfit last week from one of his favorite outlets in the mall. The park was one of the more peaceful places to be as the sun was glistening down upon the trees and paths. A gust of wind blew by as Mokuba took a stroll into the park. His long black hair fluttered around for a moment before coming to rest. There weren't that many people in the park. A few playing catch and a couple having a picnic, but that was about it.
Heaving a sigh, the young boy hopped over onto a bench and kicked his legs around out of boredom. Even though being one of the leaders of Kaiba Corp was cool, it was boring at times, especially when his brother was out of town. Looking down at the ground, he stopped kicking his feet as a pitter patter could be heard. His ears perked up as he heard the taps of footsteps coming near him.

After splitting up and going seperate ways from her friends, Tea found herself with nothing to do and made her way towards the park. She'd originaly asked Joey and Yugi to accompany her, but they said they had more training to do for some event or another. Not being a big duelist, she decided to go off and do something more to her likeing. It wasn't that she didn't enjoy the dueling, it just didn't seem like they needed her. She was onlu usally around when they were in tournaments and needed a helping voice to keep their faith. She felt like the cheerleader of the group.
Her short brown hair being a bit messy from the wind, she ran her fingers through it gently like a comb. The snarles came right out and she put on a happy smile. She loved having short hair unlike most girls. It was so easy to take care of and she never had to do anything with it. She looked down the long path of the walkway in the park and saw someone not to far off in the distance. He looked sort of frimiliar, so she decided to head off in that direction.
As she got closer, she realized it was Mokuba, Seto Kiaba's younger brother. What was he doing out here on his own? It was so hard to pinpoint an age for Mokuba. He always acted so much older, but looked so young. She scanned the area around Mokuba for any signs of his older brother. None. It was strange to not see them together. She slowly approched Mokuba, and tapped him on the back to get his attention when he didn't turn around. "Hey Mokuba," she spoke with a cheerful and friendly smile. She was usually behind Yugi and Joey when she ran into him so she wondered if Mokuba would even recognize her.

Getting that feeling that someone was nearly watching over his shoulder, he began to turn around only to feel a light tap on his back. He spun his head around as his hair whirled around with him. His gaze soon met the crystal blue eyes of Tea, a good friend of his. She was usually around with Yugi, Joey, and Tristan, however they were nowhere to be seen for some strange reason. Really, Mokuba had no problem with any of them, however his brother Seto on the other hand was a completely different story.
For some reason, Seto could never get along with any of them, but then again he never got along with many people at all. This included those in his own company as well. Mokuba on the other hand quickly became good friends with all of them. Tea was one of the kindest out of all of them. She had comforted him that while ago when he had nobody else to turn to. His face instantly lit up knowing it was her though. "Tea!" He gave a big grin as he hopped off the bench and gave her a friendly hug. Letting go he looked up as her brown hair swung gently in the breeze for a moment. "Wheres Yugi and Joey?"

It was surprising that Mokuba was so nice, considering how his brother wasn't always the kind one on the block. She was amazed that Seto Kiaba's attitude didn't rub off on Mokuba by now. He was such a good kid--Smart too. He seemed to know how to run machines and do things that Tea felt she wouldn't be able to learn in a million years. Mokuba would have a bright future with his skills.
Tea smiled when Mokuba hugged her. He obviously recognized her like she feared he wouldn't. "Yugi and Joey are off playing duel monsters as usual," Tea responded with a smile. She did feel lonely at times when those boys were going at it with their cards, but she always tried to make sure they didn't know she felt slightly left out. After all, she couldn't even imagine saying something that would come between those boys and the thing they loved. Her friends being happy always made her happy. Friendship, after all, is the most important thing in the world. She'd be no where without them.
Tea looked around once more, but still couldn't see Kaiba anywhere in sight. "Where's your brother?" Tea asked, hoping she wasn't being nosy. It was so odd to see him by himself even though it shouldn't be. Owning his buisness, Kiaba must not have alot of time to hang out with his brother. She wondered if Mokuba ever got lonely.

Mokuba stepped back slightly as he smiled brightly at Tea who seemed to be somewhat bored given her facial expression. It seemed like him, she was alone as well without anyone to be with at the moment. He knew the feeling all too well with Seto always on his business trips. It was a bit depressing at times. Stretching his arms, he placed them behind the back of his head as he thought about it. He wondered if Tea ever got a bit down from not being with her friends all the time. His train of thought was interupted as he listened to Tea's explaination of Yugi and Joey.
Of course they were off playing duel monsters some where, most likely to get better. They could never beat his brother of course. Seto was the best there was! Apparently Tea seemed to be a bit uneasy perhaps as she glanced around a few times before finally uttering her question. A question about his brother who he was usually with. Mokuba looked down at the ground, partly at his shoes as the question was brought up. "Well...he's kind of on another business trip." Mokuba spoke slowly and a bit on the dissappointed side. "I really wish he wouldn't work so much all the time...It seems like I hardly get to see him." He looked up and shrugged his shoulders slightly. There was really nothing he could do.

Giving off a sort of sad expression, Tea still managed to smile back. She felt quite bad at the fact that Mokuba seemed so alone. It wasn't fair to him. Kaiba should be with him more often...or at least get a baby sitter. She looked at Mokuba again, still attempting to decipher his age. "Mokuba, how old are you?" She finally decided to ask, hoping it wasn't a rude question.
Mokuba's maturity seemed to surprise everyone. Like she alway thought, his was extremely brilliant. Tea felt a little dumb compared to the Kiaba brothers. She also felt poor...way poor. Oh well, she never thought of money as a necessary object. She had friends! That was the best gift of all.

Kicking a few pebbles on the ground, Mokuba looked back up to Tea who seemed as wishful and happy as ever, however a little bit of sadness could be seen in her eyes. Even though a smile was broad across her face, there was still something hidden beneath that smile. Something Mokuba couldn't figure out, however simply brushed the thought away as Tea spoke. His age? That wasn't something someone asked him everyday.
"Oh, I guess I never told you." He smiled rubbing the back of his hair. "I'm 13 right now." Mokuba shifted his weight back and forth on his tip toes as he responded. He was rather proud to be a teenager finally, although he was respected all the time anyways. The wind came in as a gust blew through the trees, letting loose a few leaves. The momentary breze was refreshing and almost made Mokuba feel distant for a moment before coming back to reality. "Hey Tea...since neither of us have anyone to be with...do you want to hang out with me?" He smiled hoping she would accept his proposal.

Wow. Thirteen already? She wouldn't have even ever guessed he was already starting his teenage years. He looked so young even if he didn't act it. He seemed to have the mind of a collage student. Then again, all of her friends seem to look either younger or older then they actually are. Maybe it was just all in her head.
Tea brushed a leaf the wind blew out of her hair and smiled at Mokuba's question. "Alright," she nodded with an even friendliar smile. She'd never actually hung out with Mokuba before. It was probably because she never actually hung out any where near his borther before. Aside from everything, she was bored and having someone to spend time with sounded a bit more entertaining then being bored. "What would you like to do?" she asked cheerfully. She tried to think, but came up with nothing. Nothing looked to appealing today reguardless of the great weather.

Mokuba couldn't have been happier as Tea conceded to hanging out with him. It wasn't that often he would get to visit with Tea or anyone else from their group of friends. Seto always had discouraged him to not even go by them, however never scolded him when he had found out. As much as his brother hated Yugi and his friends, Mokuba still couldn't find the problem with them. They were always kind and considerate of each other. Perhaps it was mostly because of Yugi. Yeah, that had to be it.
Bringing his hands behind his head, Mokuba yawned for a moment before thinking about what to do. It was a rather nice day to be out, however he wondered how long it would last. He hadn't even checked the weather...however that wasn't a problem. He could always open up his personal mini tablet and find out. He shrugged off the thought as he came back to thinking of what to do. "Ummm..." He started trying to jog his memory. Come to think of i, he was so excited about having the weekend off to himself, he hadn't even thought what he wanted to do. "How about...we just take a walk around the city and if something catches our eye...we can go investigate?"

"Sure, that sounds like fun," Tea responded with the same friendly smile she always wore. She had absolutely no other plans for the day. She loved being outside anyways. Fresh air was always so calming and relaxing. The sound of nature was beautiful. The birds singing was one of the best songs any human could hope to hear. Spending the day outside would be the perfect day. It'd be even better if the rest of her friends could accompany them, but she wasn't going to complain.
She nodded at Mokuba once again and began to walk, expecting him to follow. There had to be other things to do around here as well. It was such a nice day-maybe there was a festible or something going on somewhere?

Mokuba couldn't hold the excitement in him anymore as he rushed a little ahead of Tea out onto the sidewalks of the street. Coming to an intersection, Mokuba looked around for a moment while he had time to wait. The street light held him up as the traffic passed by. Tea would probably catch up now, even though she wasn't too far behind him. Looking around, he noticed a few people walking from one of the intersections with some balloons and...festivel food? He blinked for a moment.
When was there a festivel? Of course he hadn't been to the city much. Being cooped up in an office building wasn't exactly the highlight of his day. Looking around he heard a few crackles and pops from fireworks in the distance. His eyes lit up slightly at only the sound and finally pinpointed where they were coming from. He looked over to Tea as he pointed in the direction of the festivel. "Hey, I didn't know there was a festivel going on."

Tea excitedly struggled to catch up with Mokuba. He was quite fast for a thirteen year old. Normally everyone she knew his age was slow and lazy. Honestly, what was wrong with children these days? She thought fast food and television was to blame. She hardly ever watched television unless something about dancing was on or she was with the boys who used it to watch Duel Monsters tournaments.
Tea's face brightened up when she heard Mokuba point out the possibility of a festival. She always had tons of fun at them. There was lots to do. Checking her pockets, Tea smiled. She'd just gotten a ton of money from a dance tournament she won and luckily she brought it with her. "Hmm...Would you like to check it out?" Tea asked with a smile.

Feeling the excitement rising in him, Mokuba as Tea caught up to him. He simply looked back to her with glee all over his face. He hadn't been to a festivel in a while, mostly because he followed his brother around everywhere except when he left for a business trip. "Yeah, I haven't been to one in forever!" He began walking a bit fast, but allowed Tea enough time to catch up to him as they walked down the sidewalk, eventually emerging to brightly lit tents and various music being played.
A cluster of balloons were released into the air as a small display of fireworks exploded in the air. It wasn't often that the festivels came to the city, although they were a blast to be at. Mokuba looked around, everything seemed to catch his eye at once. The food, the games, the rides. Everything looked so fun. "Do you want to get something to eat Tea? I'm kind of hungry."

The scenery was gorgeous with all the lights and fun-looking clowns. The last time she was to a festival was with Joey and Tristian when Yugi was helping his grandpa around the Game Shop. Last time it was such a blast. They did everything possible, and more. There wasn't a food Joey didn't eat or a game Tristian didn't play. Remembering it made Tea mentally laugh to herself. They all left flat broke, and Tea couldn't even remember buying all that much. She spent most of her money on the boys who never payed her back. Oh well, that's what friends do.
Hearing Mokuba's question, the food began to smell good to her. Festival food was always the greatest. It was a place to try lots of new food or just stick to what you know. Safe food like cotton candy and pizza. "Sure," Tea finally responded with a smile.

With Tea's approval of wanting to get something to eat, Mokuba rushed over to one of the food stands located in the center of the festivel. There were a fair amount of tables and chairs scattered along with a stage. Apparently there was a band performing at the moment which had some pretty up beat music. Some of the festivel goers even had the bravery to get up on the stage and dance! Something Mokuba was sure not to do. He was much to shy to do such a thing.
Walking up to one of the stands, Mokuba looked at the menu to noticed all sorts of good food. "I'll take...two slices of pizza and...two lemonades." The girl working at the stand simply smiled at him as she gathered his order. The pizza was still warm in its soft foil packaging as Mokuba placed the money on the counter. Giving a smile back, Mokuba took the food to a table waiting for Tea to join him. He placed her food on the other side of the table and patiently waited to eat. He could feel his legs keeping beat with the music being performed on stage.
