It had been a long day at work today, and Tohru had finally had enough. The moment he'd gotten into his office, he was nearly neck deep in paperwork, and by the time he was done, his wrists felt like limp spaghetti. So, when he had finally gotten a chance, he decided to sneak out of the building and into the park. Hopefully, none of his employees would go running around looking for him. Hopefully.
With him wearing his usual attire, things looked as though he might get spotted too easily. "Man...I really SHOULD think about a new wardrobe...", he said to himself. That was when Yami Tohru spoke up. "You know, if we switched places right now, it would be a lot easier for you to hide." Tohru rolled his eyes at such a suggestion. Are you kidding me? Do you have any idea how dark and lonely it is inside my own mind? Forget it! The young boy was dressed in his usual attire of midnight-blue leather shirt, lavender hoodie, white khakis, and black tenni-shoes. The only thing that he'd done was put on a pair of shades, in hopes that no one would recognize him. A little sad, yes, but anything to keep from having to go back to work.

Mokuba had left Kaiba Corp office as Seto had insisted that he went and did something fun while he was away. Hearing from his brother always perked him up and Mokuba cheerfully exited the main doors waving to Jessica who was just getting ready to change shifts with another receptionist named Marie. Mokuba never knew Marie that well, probably because he wasn't at Kaiba Corp that much in the afternoon. Mokuba stood outside near the street when a few of the Kaiba Corp security members moved to escort him to a sleek black limo. Mokuba waved his hand and simply smiled at them.
"No, that won't be necessary, I'm just going to walk." The two security guards nodded and both spoke in unision.
"Very well Mr. Kaiba. Have a safe trip then."
Mokuba walked down teh sidewalk as he approached the park that he had visited earlier. It took a few minutes to reach it but it wasn't that far away. He wandered in to see the park more active than it was earlier. He only wished Seto was back from his trip, however remembered to just make the best of it for now. Mokuba past a few people, however one caught his eye. A young boy almost his age if not older in a blue shirt as well as white khaki pants. He almost immediatly recognized the young boy even with the sun glasses he wore.
"Hey aren't you Mr. Fujimori?" Mokuba stopped for a moment smiling. "I remember having one of your toys, you made the first Blue Eyes White Dragon figure didn't you?" Mokuba hoped he wasn't talking to a complete stranger that didn't know anything he was talking about.

Hearing a voice address him in such a way, poor Tohru almost fell backward. Luckily for him, he had the kind of balance to regain his composure. Looking over his shades, he noticed that the younger boy before him was none other than Mokuba Kaiba of Kaiba Corp. Now, Tohru just had to wonder, what on earth the second head of a gaming corporation would be doing here? Did he sneak away too? No. That couldn't be it. The boy wasn't doing anything ridiculous like him, such as wearing a pair of shades to hide his identity.
So, letting out a ligiht sigh and tossing the glasses aside, he smiled warmly and nodded in reply. "Yes, that's correct. And you must be Mokuba Kaiba, correct? It's true, I did design the first Blue Eyes White Dragon figure. Unfortunately, I've been so caught up in work, that I vaguely remember it. By the way, please call me Tohru. Being called 'Mr.' is just too stuffy for me." Having said that, he couldn't help but chuckle a bit. But it was true. Being called 'Mr. Fujimori', just wasn't his thing.
"So, may I ask what you're doing out and about? My lame excuse is to get away from all the paperwork back at Lunatea..", he said.

Mokuba grinned a little bit as the young boy he had just addressed was indeed Mr. Fujimori...or in this case Tohru as he liked it. Mokuba too hated being called Mr. Kaiba for the most part but only addressed other people by Mr. just out of respect and because of his age.
"Yeah, I'm Mokuba...just Mokuba please just like you like to only be called Tohru." Mokuba rubbed the back of his hair lightly smiling. He never really got to get out and meet many other people aside from those at school or at Kaiba Corp. Mokuba looked around for a moment just taking in the activities before hearing Tohru's question.
"Oh me? I'm just out trying to find something to do. Its awefully boring sometimes in my position..." He paused for a moment. "Not that its probably equally if not harder for you..." He quickly chimed in. "My brother is on an important business meeting so he had to cancel plans with me for today...not that I don't mind. Seto does a lot more work than he really has to but he does run the company very well. He's the best!" Mokuba took great pride in his big brother.

Tohru smiled and nodded in reply. "Yes, your brother really is something. He's brought Kaiba Corp. a long way, from what I understand." He paused for a moment, thinking about what exactly to say now. While he was, in fact, a child prodigy, he still wasn't always great with holding conversations. Then a thought occured to him. They were both off from work...well, Mokuba was off, but Tohru pretty much snuck out. Anyway, he figured since they were both in the park, they'd just hang out and get to know each other for a bit.
"Hey, Mokuba. You're still in school, right? Where exactly are you attending? Is it at Domino High? Because I think I may have seen you a couple of times in the hallways." To be perfectly honest, Tohru didn't know squat about what school Mokuba attended, or if he even went to Domino High in the first place. He was just trying to strike up a conversation, and try not to seem weird in anyway. For, once again, he was not that great with conversations.

Mokuba looked up at the beautiful sky for a moment just thinking about his brother.
"Yeah I wish I could be as great as him." Mokuba knew he'd never be as great as his brother but he always wanted to try at least. Seto always was there to look out for him and Mokuba just wanted to try and make it up to him by just trying to be the best he could at everything like Seto was. He looked back at Tohru who began talking about school. Come to think of it, Mokuba was in school way more than his older brother when he thought about it.
"Of course I still go to school Tohru." Mokuba chuckled a bit before pointing off into the east direction. "I attend Domino Middle School right now and I'm 8th grade." He grinned slightly at the thought of this being his last year and then he'd move on up to Domino High. "I've only been in Domino high a few times when I had to visit my brother about important issues about Kaiba Corp mostly...sometimes if we had a day off though when Domino High didn't I'd go and eat lunch with my brother." Mokuba enjoyed talking to other people and making new friends.
Sometimes it was hard for him to do so just because he was Mokuba Kaiba of Kaiba Corp. He really didn't try to let it bother him or let people think of him as a head of the company. he simply wanted people to like him for who he was, not what he did.
"Have you ever talked to Seto? Err my brother I mean." Mokuba really didn't know how to refer to his brother when he talked about him in conversations. He knew he didn't like being called Seto by anyone except himself and those closest to him which was very few and far between.

Tohru had to pause a moment and think on Mokuba's last question. Had he ever spoken to Seto Kaiba before? Sure, he may have passed him by a few times when in Domino High, and he saw him in a few of his classes before. But he'd never actually spoken to the guy. Seto Kaiba was...a bit too cold for Tohru, to be honest. It was just the aura around the him that seemed to steer him clear, in a sense.
So, being a person who couldn't really lie unless he had to, Tohru let out a sigh and decided to be honest. "Well, Mokuba, I can't really say that I have. No offense meant, but, it's just that his demeanor is a little...chilling, I guess. I'm actually kind of afraid to talk to him." After having listened to himself, Tohru just couldn't help but blush lightly and laugh at himself. Yes, he was afraid of speaking with Seto Kaiba, but that didn't quite mean that he thought he was a bad person. Just sort of nervous around his rather cold exterior.

Mokuba nodded slowly as he listened to Tohru's response. He understood that his brother was highly unapproachable and quite cold for the most part. If only people knew that he never used to be like that...all cold and almost a bit of a loner. The Seto Mokuba knew when they were in the orphanage was so caring and kind to everyone...but ever since they were adopted by the Kaiba family Seto became quite cold and shut out from everyone except him. he might have done this for the good of both of them to survive. Seto really did care about him, sometimes he just didn't show it.
"Oh...thats understandable. I know Seto seems a bit cold like that...but don't let it bother you. The Seto I know never used to be like that, he really used to be a great person." Mokuba looked towards Tohru and smiled. Mokuba knew himself he wasn't nearly as cold-hearted as his brother for the most part, and knew that his brother sometimes...actually often times didn't approve of the people he hung out with. This was mostly Yugi and his friends in which Mokuba never understood why he couldn't put their differences aside. Mokuba sighed slightly and looked around.
"Hey, mind if we walk and talk? It kind of bothers me to just sit and stand." Mokuba jumped up a few times anxiously.

Tohru nodded as Mokuba spoke. He could understand that no one else knew Seto Kaiba than Mokuba himself. And being the way he was, he couldn't help but feel guilty about his reply. He was about to apologize, until Mokuba asked if they could walk and talk. He smiled, nodding in reply, before walking along the sidewalk with Mokuba. "Sorry about that. I really didn't mean to offend." But even with what he had said, Tohru couldn't help but frown upon himself with his honesty. Sometimes he thought he was too honest. But if he were to lie, he'd never let it down with himself, either.
"So, Mokuba. Are you into dueling at all? I mean, I myself, am not too great at it. At least, that's what I think, anyway." Tohru was curious to discover a few other things about Mokuba outside of Kaiba Corp. For he was starting to see the younger boy more and more as a friend, instead of an acquaintance.

Mokuba was a not really surprised to have someone apologize about his brother, after all it wasn't the only time he's heard it. He was almost the totally opposite of his brother if it wasn't for their blood bond. It never really bothered him, he loved his brother no matter what people said about him. He always knew the kind of person he really was. Mokuba looked up when Tohru mentioned dueling.
"Oh me?" Mokuba blushed slightly. He stared down as they walked. To think about it, he really never dueled at all. He only did a few times but other than that...he's only really watched his brother play. He always wanted to be as good as his brother but never started. Perhaps he was afraid he'd dissappoint Seto. He really didn't know to be honest.
"Not really...I mean I love duel monsters but...I think mostly I'm afraid to dissappoint my brother since he's so good at it. I've never really tried to be honest." Mokuba thought about dueling for a little while longer. He never knew why he never started it.
"What ever got you into toys?" He looked back up.

Tohru looked at Mokuba with a curious look when he mentioned he was afraid to disappoint. "Afraid? Never tried?", he asked. He looked up at the sky a bit as he smiled warmly at the admittance. "Well, I can't say I blame you. I mean, your brother is one of the best duelists out there, right? But you can't really let that stop you, Mokuba. Dueling is like creating your own path in life. The road you take is all up to you, not by pre-requisites like, reputation or anything like that. But by the choices you make. In other words, it's all in the heart. I'm sorry, does that make any sense?"
Whenever Tohru went on philosophical tangents like that, he normally worried he wasn't making any sense, because usually, it didn't. However, he felt like he needed to give the younger boy a bit more encouragement about what dueling was all about. Then Mokuba mentioned toys, and Tohru sort of blushed a bit.
"Well...I'd have to say it was my mother who got me into it. See, when I was around your age, I used to do nothing but daydream all the time during my classes at school. I'd think up of all sorts of things that I could do to please others, as I'm the kind of person who likes to put a smile on people's faces. So, my mother suggested that I work for her company." He paused a moment, as his cheerful expression faded ever so slightly, as it was still a pain to remember.
"But around my thirteenth birthday, my mother died of a fatal illness, and I inherited the company from her, as well as a family heirloom. Sure, things are great and all, but it's still kinda hard to forget."

Mokuba rubbed his arm nervously for a little bit as he took in what Tohru was telling him. The fact was he didn't want to try because he knew he wouldn't do that great when he started. It would almost be a disgrace he thought to his big brother if he couldn't even win a simply duel monsters game. His attention was caught again when Tohru asked if he was understanding anything he was saying. He nodded slightly as he took his hand off his arm for a moment.
"It does make sense...but I just don't think I could do it...let alone be ready." Mokuba looked to the side slightly before taking noticing Tohru blushing slightly. Mokuba never understood how his brother got into duel monsters. He guessed it just kind of happened. Maybe it was a way to vent from all the pressure he was under all the time. Mokuba never really knew but did know his brother was great at it. He heard as Tohru told him that his mother had died from a fatal illness.
Mokuba's slight smile faded slightly. He never thought about losing his big brother at all. It almost never crossed his mind. He thought he'd always be there. Mokuba looked at Tohru for a moment.
"Oh I'm sorry about bringing that up." Mokuba didn't know what it was like to lose someone forever. He hoped he'd never have to meet with the situation face to face.

Tohru looked at Mokuba, then smiled warmly. "Ah, don't worry about it. It's in the past. Sure, it may take a while before I'm completely over it, but I can't let that stop me from being happy. And I hope I'm not being a downer by having told you this." Tohru would not have liked the fact if he made Mokuba feel bad in any way. It was against his nature to bring other people down in any form.
Then he remembered what Mokuba said about dueling. It made him frown slightly, but not a whole lot. Tohru could understand how Mokuba felt, as he had his fair share of feeling badly about certain things too. "Well, then Mokuba, would you like some assistance? I'd be more than happy to help you, if you'd like? Although, I'll admit up front, I'm not too great at the game myself." Unbeknownst to Mokuba, however, this was a complete lie. Tohru had had more than his fair share of dueling, and he was actually pretty good at it. But he wanted to be helpful to Mokuba in any way he could. After all, it was in his nature to help others.

Mokuba fidgeted around for a moment as they continued walking. He really didn't know what to do. Maybe he could get good at duel monsters and make his brother proud but then again he could be horrible at it and dissappoint his brother. There was a really good plus that his brother would probably be more proud of him, however the horrible negative would be his dissappoint. Mokuba hated for his brother to feel dissappointed by him. He shook the feeling of a slight sadness that took over him and put on a bright smile again.
"Well I don't know...I don't even have a deck. I mean I could always get the cards...but..." Mokuba kicked a few pebbles along the sidewalk as they continued around the park. Tohru was quite a nice person, Mokuba never met him but he wasn't at all a self centered sadistic teen. His brother could show a few of these traits but Mokuba always told people he wasn't like that all the time. Mostly his brother just wanted to get done with business for the most part.

Tohru could see that Mokuba was giving dueling some thought. However, he decided to press the matter a bit further. "Okay, how about this. Whenever I'm off from work, and vice-versa, why don't we get together at my place and have some dueling lessons? I promise, it'll be our little secret." And it wasn't until after he said that, that he realized Mokuba may not be too keen on keeping secrets from his brother.
"Well...maybe not a secret.", he said, rubbing the back of his head a bit. "But take it into consideration. You know, food for thought. I won't rush you into it if you don't want to." Tohru smiled softly at Mokuba as he said this all. If there was ever a time where the teen was being utmostly sincere, this would probably be one of them.
