Senna Rylee, finally in a fairly decent mood, was generally satisfied. Yes, she was generally satisfied with life. How this circumstance came about was uncertain, but she wasn’t complaining. She wasn’t to the point of humming, though, that would be out of character and probably a sign that anyone watching her was in some sort of alternate universe. She was, however, strolling through the park with a casual sort of walk, her hands in the pockets of her long brown trench coat. The collar on the coat was lifted, touching the lower part of her face, and she let her long red hair hand loose, falling down to the middle of her back with whisps of hair in her face.
The day was an average one, not overly sunny and bright, nor was it overly cloudy. The weather maintained the mediocre pattern, where it was warm enough to go out without a heavy jacket, but cool enough to need some sort of add-on to stay comfortable. She would glance around here and there as she made her way down one of the many park paths, looking at young children skipping alongside their mothers and grimacing, or watching a group of preteens scramble around the open areas, giggling about something that was apparently amusing.
All of these things were background to Senna, none of them particularly interested her. It was an odd situation for her, though. The last time she had strolled through the park like this seemed like ages ago, although she had been there several times in a fury about something, although she could never quite recall what would upset her like that. These things flew past her, and what was done was done. There was not much purpose focusing on the past without some sort of meaning behind the venture. But she found that unless there was a legitimate reason, she really didn’t feel like looking back. Some memories were unpleasant, yes, but that wasn’t the reason…it just wasn’t worth her time.
Senna looked behind her for a moment, no particular reason, though, just for the sake of looking. She turned her head back to look forward once more, slightly-heeled boots making a very light tapping sound as she continued her walk. They were made of some sort of black material and placed over her dark-wash blue jeans, emphasizing the length of her legs. She was fairly tall, but shorter than some, still, standing at almost a full 5’8”. She briefly eyed an interesting looking tree, briefly wondering what sort of berries were decorating it as a little bird flitted over to it to sample. She offered a small smile, for she liked birds; they could go anywhere, anytime. And that was an ability she envied.
Senna paused for a moment, ceasing her steps, glancing around. Her sense of peace had suddenly fled from her grasp, but she wasn’t sure about as to why. Perhaps that unusual sense of peace was due to nothing…after all, she rarely felt like that. But she was still disappointed, for now she had to be on her toes once more, allowing that sense of paranoia to come back and to change her posture. Her eyes narrowed again, and she found herself wishing only for a fleeting moment that her former mood would return. But she figured it was for the best, if she was suddenly wary it could only be for a reason…
She dragged her hand up to the pendant around her neck, matching the profile of Anubis. She took the silver piece between her fingers, reaching upward and tugging at the silver chain anxiously and glancing around out of the corner of her eye. She took in all the people that were currently around her, now looking at them all in a different way. Perhaps she should have paid more attention throughout her walk. But as she looked, she saw nothing that was out of the ordinary or that warranted her suspicions. Just more children, more families, and a group of teens reading under a tree. Nothing.
She uttered a soft sound of consideration, still uncertain. But now her uncertainty was directed toward herself, and she narrowed her glare further, not sure about what she should be looking for, if anything.
