Today was a gorgeous day. The sun was shining above in the sky with not a single dark gray cloud. The temperature is nice and warm-however it was not to hot. The birds were chirping and the butterflies were fluttering around the blossoming flowers. Everyone seemed currently happy.
Aloud string of foul curses rang through the air. Okay...Maybe not EVERYONE seemed happy. The source of the cursing came from young woman sitting under a tree on a bench. As people passed by they looked at the girl with a nervous expression On her lap was a duel disk. Next to her was a computer and tool box.
"D*** it! Why do those donkeys think of assigning me this task of fixing every single duel disk? I want to kick them in the nuts sometimes...." The girl grunted and narrowed her eyes from behind her glasses. Yes she wears glasses when she work. This girl was Seluna Olympia-formerly Yukiko Kouryuu. Not many know that she used to be a Dueling Champ with her hatred to the games of Duel Monsters. This is one reason why she is so angry: she is stuck working on something she hate. That and the egos of her upper ranked co-workers.

I'm late! Yugi thought as he ran through the park. He had been so excited last night that he forgot to set his alarm. He woke up late and had to rush out of the house without preparing much. He was supposed to meet Tea near the park today. They weren't exactly going on a date, but it was close enough. They were going to hang out with just the two of them. Yugi was really looking forward to it, which is why he was racing to their meeting place.
As he passed a clock, he realized that because of how fast he ran, he was actually five minutes early and the meeting place was in sight. Tea wasn't there yet, so Yugi relaxed and caught his breath. Now that he thought about it, it was the fastest he had ever run. Apparently he was even more excited than he had thought. He sat down and looked up at the clear sky. It was a really nice day. It was warm, but not hot and he felt good in his black t-shirt that he wore just for this occasion.
He was just about back to normal when he heard a string of curses to his right. After looking around a bit, he found that the source was a young woman sitting on a bench under a tree. His kind nature urged him to go and see what was troubling her, but a part of him thought it would be better not to disturb someone like her. He was going to go back to waiting for Tea when he noticed what she had next to her and on her lap. She was working on a duel disk!
He slowly walked up to her with a kind smile and a small drop of sweat that he could feel on his cheek. He used his hand to wipe away the sweat as he said, "Um... hi. Is something the matter with that duel disk?"

“This blasted thing? It's been a nuisance for a while and has been acting. The duelist using it sent a long complaint. Those over grown monkeys...They wanted to silence his complaining so they sent me on it." The young woman muttered. She reached into her tool box and pulled out a ranch. She then began opening up the duel disk and examining the inside. She frowned and gave out a sigh and shook her head.
“Why did give me this job? They don’t even know what is wrong with it….They must be doing it spite of me and just to push me around. But did it had to be a DUEL MONSTER related technology difficulty?” She took out a magnifying glass and examined the duel disk even more. Sighing, she placed the duel disk to the side. She’ll finish it later.
“Well, since you are brave enough to ask me what is wrong I guess I can tell you my name. The name is Seluna Olympia-though I used to go by another name.” The young woman sighed and looked up at Yugi. She could have sworn that she had saw something about him somewhere-but where? “What is your name?” With that statement she gave Yugi a strained smile.
She blinked again when she noticed something around his neck. She squinted and saw it to be an upside down triangle of a golden color. It seemed like it was puzzle originally. What fascinated her was the symbol on it: the Eye of Horus.
“Hm…Is that necklace of yours is Egyptian? I guess it is…Because of the type of gold it seems to be made of. That and the Eye of Horus is on there.” Seluna stated in a curious tone as she tilted her head to the side. She looked a bit puzzled. How did someone from Japan get something that? It is surely not a souvenir-that’s for sure.

As the woman muttered about her problem with the duel disk and her job, she seemed more and more unstable. Yugi had a feeling that he probably should have left her there, but he was intrigued so he stayed and talked to her. "So that would mean you work for Kaiba Corp. right? I have one of those duel disks myself. I got it for the big Battle City tournament that is going to be held soon."
The woman opened up a bit and even told Yugi her name. "I'm Yugi Mutou. And yes, this necklace is Egyptian. It was originally a puzzle in a box that my grandfather brought back from a trip to Egypt. He was an archaeologist and he took a few trips there in his life. This was a gift from him. I eventually put it together and made it into a necklace." Yugi replied slowly.
Although the woman seemed a bit unstable and she worked for Kaiba Corp, something about her made him trust her. He couldn't put his finger on it, but it was definitely there. He looked over at the clock quickly and found he still had a few minutes before he was supposed to meet Tea, so he sat down next to Seluna's computer and toolbox on the bench. "So... Seluna's not a name you hear often around here. Are you not originally from Japan?"

“Yes I do work for Kaiba corp. I don’t like it very much though. I am only in it so me and my friends can have a place to say. Speaking of them, by adopted brother and my best friend might bug me into joining that tournament. They say even If I don’t like dueling that much…I still need to duel once a while to keep myself in shape.” Seluna sighed as she shook her head. She took her duel deck and handed it to Yugi. She gave him a small smile. “If you want, you can glance over it some bit. I don’t duel much these days so it isn’t a problem.” ((OOC: It is the Dragon/Machine Deck))
“Really? That sounds very interesting. I can tell it is very special to you. It must have a signifient meaning then if you are wearing it around your neck. If it was me, I would put it in a display case.” Seluna stated with a frown and sighed. She hoped her next comment won’t offend him. “It seems very valuable so bad people might target it."
“You got it right on the mark. I am not from Japan. I think I was from Egypt. I never knew my parents or origins. I don’t know even where I was born-so I was raised in a local orphanage for a while. When I was around six I meet someone who turns out to be friend of my parents. He then adopted me and took me to England.” A smile appeared on her face remembering her old man. However it turned to a frown and a sad look appeared in her eyes. “However to due to an event, me and my step brother moved her. We mainly came to forget about the past and clear our heads.”

Yugi smiled as Seluna handed him her deck. He took it and began to look through it as she talked. "Wow, you are awfully trusting. I've only just met you and already you've handed me your deck. And looking through it, it's a pretty powerful one. Mind you, I'm like that too. On the boat to Duelist Kingdom I let Weevil Underwood see my cards and it lost me the 5 Exodia cards. Anyway, if you join Battle City, I'll keep an eye out for you. I've got many friends and acquaintances that are probably going to be there as well."
Yugi listened to the next part of what Seluna had to say and replied, "You're wise too. Just recently someone tried to steal it. But I believe that me and my friends can stop those threats. My friends will always be there to help me and I'll always be there to help them."
Seluna finished by talking about her past and a bit about why she was in Japan. Yugi listened intently and he could tell that recounting her past made her a bit sad. Her frown told him all that he needed to know.

“Me? Trusting?! Yeah right!” Seluna stated and from her calm state she broke down into to laughter and clutched her sides. However a few seconds later she returned to her calm and collected self. She looked slightly embarrassed of her action. “Sorry I find your statement funny because it was the opposite what most people call me. They say I am cold hearted and ruthless.”
“The reason I am opening up to you are simple. First you seem like a trust worthy person that opens even the coldest of peoples hearts-like myself. That is a useful ability and will be a great tool in the future.” Seluna sighed as she pulled the Duel Disk onto her lap and began fixing it. Not even looking up at Yugi, she continues on talking. “The second reason was because you remind me of myself before that. Now adays people say I am a cold aloof tyrant.”
“Hm…Exodia you say? All five of them? When I was dueling-which was like over 4 years ago when it just starting- those cards were more common. I guess they are rarer now these days since it’s way more popular now.” Seluna stated and a small sweat drop appeared on the back of her head. It was so obvious that statement was true. She paused for a seconds before working on the duel disk again. This time plugging it to her computer. She typed something on the computer and placed it and the duel disk to the side.
“It must be good to have friends. I practically have none-except my step brother and Chang. I am used to it however.” Seluna stated with a small sad smile. Her tone seemed cheerful however her eyes revealed the truth. Her eyes shown her tattered and broken soul that seemed ready to collasped.
“I probably am going to duel just to shut Chang’s and Apollo’s mouths up. I really don’t like doing it actually.” Seluna sighed as she took back her deck and placed it in her coat pocket. She looked at it with a sad look. “It all began with a jealous rival and that changed my love for the game forever.”
“I used to be obsessed with the game. I participated in every tourney I could enter. At that time, the population of England’s duelists are mostly male. So I almost never had a challenge. I had fun though and managed to prove myself by winning the National Championships. However after winning my second Championships….It all went bad.” Seluna sighed as a distant look appeared in her eyes. She turned to Yugi and a small smile appeared on her face. “You probably don’t want to hear about it. I mean, it is not your problem and I shouldn’t throw my problems at you since we both just met. You also probably got someone to meet right?”

Yugi listened to what Seluna said silently. He could tell that she was a bit desperate and definitely sad. He couldn't leave her now just to meet up with Tea. She would understand if he was late for something like this. "No, I've got time to listen. Sometimes it's good to share these things with someone else. I get through my troubles by sharing them with my friends and they do the same with me. That's how you form stronger bonds."
Yugi studied the sad young woman before him. She seemed just like another cold bitter person on the outside, but she was really more than that. Yugi had found that most people were. Perhaps she was more like Kaiba than she realized. It seemed that he had a dark past, just as she did.

“That is nice of you. I guess bonds are needed sometimes. However do to the incident I am about to talk about….I am afraid of becoming alone again. That is why I am most of the time an ice queen- to stop the form of bonds” Seluna sighed as she looked at the floor and kicked a rock. She couldn’t believe she was going to tell someone this-especially someone she just meet. However if this person was a duelist and she just meet him- she felt she could trust him.
“Okay….After I was coming back from the Regional tournament from England-however when I arrived it was very quiet and the front door was broken. Something was wrong so I rushed in-what a foolish move that was." Seluna sighed as she rubbed her forehead. She was having flashbacks but she felt slightly better.
"Turned out this guy who I beat in the last final round was there. He was Spell Caster with Dark Magicians as one of his main monsters. Anyway he demanded to duel me...I refused since I thought it would be pointless." Seluna stated as she tried to stay calmed. She narrowed her eyes at the ground and clutched her hands. "He countered this action by threatening the lives of my adopted father and brother. So I had to agree-fat good that did for me in the end."
“When the duel started the area seemed to gone black and darkened. Also during the duel I felt like my life force was being ripped out of me. In the end I won however this is where things got bad.” Seluna stated in a shaking tone. Her hands began to bleed because she was clutching them so hard. However she ignored and continues what she was saying. “Lucian soon went and then I went to release my father and brother. When I asked them are they are right-they got never a chance to answer.”
“Lucian- in rage and seemed to have gone insane- stabbed me in the right the knee. As I fell, he prepared to stab be in the head-I was to injured to get out of the way. However when I opened my eyes- I found my step father standing in front of me with a big whole in his stomach. Lucian then cursed and vanished somehow and I then fainted. When I woke u pmy step brother revealed that my step father died from the injury. Shortly after that I moved here and changed my name.” Seluna stated shuttering. She couldn’t take it anymore and broke down into tears. Tear fell from her face and began falling onto the floor- a puddle soon was forming on the ground.

Yugi listened to Seluna's whole story without saying a word. He became more and more sad with every word that she said. She had been through a lot for such a young girl. She couldn't have been more than two or three years older than Yugi yet she spoke of being stabbed and witnessing murder. She was no ordinary teenage girl, for sure. At the end of the story, she finally broke into tears. Yugi thought it would be coming, after all, it was a natural response to thinking about something like that. Yugi wasn't quite sure what to do right now, but as if moving on its own, his body left the bench and moved in front of her. He put an arm around her and let her cry on his shoulder.
Just thinking about it made Yugi so sad. He began to think back on the things that had happened to him. His parents weren't around much, so he only had his Grandpa. Then he got the Millennium Puzzle. While working on it, he met Joey and Tristan. Though they were mean to him at first, they eventually became his close friends. After that, he solved the puzzle and his life changed forever. Yami became a part of him. He could feel his spirit since then and they have only grown closer with time. He even met Tea and developed feelings for her. It seemed that he had a lot of good in his life. Except for what happened with Pegasus, not many bad things happened to him. But he could feel that bad things awaited him. His destiny called on him to defeat evil. For now though, he was content with just making friends and hanging out with the ones he already had.

Slowly making her way through the park, Tea felt a bit happier with every step she took. The day was so nice and so the opposite of gloomy. Days like this reminded her of the past summers she'd spent with all of her friends around here. The park was always a great place to meet and hang out with them. Fresh air was part of the key to happiness. At least...that's what Tea considered it. She always felt she had a weird way of thinking though. It was like she had a one track mind--friends and happiness.
As happy as she was, Tea also went through alot of bad times when it came to the game of Duel Monsters. As much as her friends enjoyed it, she noticed it always brought along trouble with Pegasus and a few others. Instead of fist fighting, their was dueling. Looking around, she noticed many people with duel monster cards in their hands. It had to be the most popular game in Japan. She felt she had a key role in it--cheerleader for her friends.
Shaking off her random thoughts, she continued to walk on. She hadn't even noticed she'd stopped walking. She seemed to let her mind wonder alot without even noticing it. She'd almost forgotten why she was even here.
Looking slightly up ahead, she noticed Yugi near a tree. Her stomach quenched a little when she noticed what was with him...A girl. She looked slightly older, and quite taller then Yugi. Now alot closer, Tea took a second look at Yugi and the girl to notice his arm around her. She felt her her stomach drop and her heart freeze in jealousy. She quickly squoze her eyes shut in attempt to wash away the feeling and opened them again. Didn't work. This shouldn't even bother her. It's not like they were together or anything...but still.
After getting it through her head, she decided it would be best to just leave them alone. They looked deep in conversation, and, to her disliking, very close. She turned around quickly and began to walk slowly away. Why did she even have to wonder over here in the first place? "Stupid. Stupid. Stupid," She thought, having feelings of regret.

At a good solid 10 minutes Seluna began to calm down. When she was awake and fully aware of her surroundings she found her leaning on someone shoulders. Her eyes finally her eyes refocused she found herself on Yugi’s shoulder. She quickly backed away and looked a little embarrassed.
“Sorry I broke down like that. I was glad you listened to me though. I needed to get that off my chest and tell someone about it.” Seluna stated with flushed cheeks. She seemed to be very embarrassed of breaking down like that in public.
"Anyway I am glad I meet you. If you want we can be friends if you want." Seluna stated with a small smile and hold up a booklet/manuel for the Duel Disk. She then flipped it to a page in the back and showed it to Yugi. "If you ever need help you can find my contact info in the help information . Same offer of help to your friends if they are good people like you."
She then noticed Tea and blinked. She noticed Tea's reactions and a smirk appeared on her face. Looks like this Girl knows Yugi. She also seems jealous but seems to deny it. It was foolish to be jealous of her though-as far she can view as Yugi, the best he can be to her was a brother figure.
"Look like your lady friend seems jealous or mad Yugi-san." Seluna stated with a chuckle at she pointed at Tea. A small grin played on her features. "Want me to help you explain her the situation? I also think she is the one who you were searching for..."

Yugi slowly moved back once he realized that Seluna had stopped crying. It seemed like she was alright now and she was regaining her composure. It took Yugi a minute to realize that she was blushing. After all, she was a few years older than him and she was crying on his shoulder in public. "That's alright. And sure, I'd like it if we were friends. I'll introduce you to my other friends whenever I get the chance. Especially if you're at Battle City. They should all be there with me." Yugi said.
It was then that he realized that she had turned her attention to the side. He followed her gaze and found Tea, with her back towards them, moving away. Oh no! This was my best chance to hang out with Tea alone... and she saw Seluna crying on my shoulder. Damn! I have to explain it to her!
"Tea! Wait up, Tea! It's not what it looks like! Let me explain!" Yugi yelled as he ran after Tea. He heard Seluna say something, but he couldn't make it out. He was too entirely focused on Tea. He had to catch up with her. As he got closer and closer, he held his hand out to grab onto her arm. He didn't mean to grab it forcefully, just so that she would stop.

Tea kept walking even though she heard Yugi following her. Maybe he'd just think she didn't hear him. That way she could keep her jealous self from crying. She didn't understand her jealousy, and she defiantly didn't like it. Her emotions always took the best of her at the worst times. She wanted to hide them. Store them up just a little longer until she got home. To late.
Tea felt something grab hold of her arm and stopped walking. Don't turn around, Tea. Don't turn around. It was almost impossible. If she didn't look at him, he might think of her as rude. That would worsen their friendship. That'd be something she couldn't handle. Friends meant everything to her...exspecially Yugi. He was there since the beginning.
Tea whipped the hint of tears from her eyes and put on her best, fake smile. She turned around fast smiling and nodded at the girl, then turning her attention back to Yugi. "It's fine, Yugi. Don't worry about it. I get it," Tea said with the same smile. To her displeasure, it was so obvious that she was lying. But just because she could tell might not mean Yugi would be able to. She just had to hope for the best. While trying to keep her eyes on him, she felt them slowly drift.

Man....This stink. This is into a soap opera with the soap. Man, in Seluna's opinion: it stinks! A sweat drop appeared on the back of her head when she watched the scene with Tea and Yugi. Man... All she needed is popcorn and a drink and she will be watching one of the chick flicks.
A sweat drop appeared on her back of her head again when she saw what was happening in front of her. Oh boy….She really messed things up with Yugi and his ‘girlfriend’ (in her viewpoint). She knew she got to do something because of Yugi’s kindness she was able to get the load off her chest. She crossed her arms across her chest and began to think. Finally a light ball flashed over her head and a conclusion rang in her mind. She knew what to do and she better do it fast.
She took a deep breath and stepped forward. She hoped she didn’t mess thing up anymore. “Your are Tea right?” Seluna stated calmly to Tea and raised an eyebrow. “I think this is a major misunderstanding. If you won’t listen to your friend I will explain. However if you don’t listen to him: how much of a friend you really are?”
“Anyway….” Seluna stated with a cough and narrowed her eyes. She had a serious look on her face. She decided to clear things up for once and for all. “I meet Yugi today when he came over to me when I was fixing up some duel disks. Gradually we began to exchange questions back and forth. However when it came to my past I broke down into tears. Because Yugi over here was polite, he let me leaned on his shoulder until I calmed down.” When she stated the last sentence she pointed at Yugi. Taking a deep breath she continued talking.
“So….Now do you get what is happening? I think you need to make it up for him somehow.” She sighed and ran her hands though her head and shook her head. "If you want to blame someone-blame me."
